RFIs, Lien Waivers, and Warranties

ZonaPlan helps you manage important compliance documents throughout a project's lifecycle.

Requests for Information (RFIs)

RFIs are formal questions that need answers before work can proceed.

  1. Go to the project's **RFIs** section
  2. Click **Create RFI**
  3. Write your question with supporting details
  4. Submit the RFI
  5. Track the response

**RFI Statuses**: DRAFT → SUBMITTED → ANSWERED → CLOSED

You can also: - Add comments and follow-up questions - Reopen closed RFIs if needed - Attach documents and photos

Lien Waivers

Track lien waiver status for payments:

  1. Request a lien waiver when making a payment
  2. Track receipt of the signed waiver
  3. Approve the waiver for your records
  4. All waivers stored digitally in the project

Warranties

Track warranty information for materials and workmanship: - Record warranty start/end dates - Attach warranty documents - Get reminders before warranties expire - Reference warranty details when issues arise

Delay Logging

Document project delays with: - **Delay Type**: Weather, scheduling, material, or other - **Duration**: How long the delay lasted - **Description**: Details about what caused the delay - Delay logs support schedule claims and change order justification
