Manual Time Entries and Adjustments

Sometimes you need to log time after the fact or adjust an existing entry.

Submitting a Manual Time Entry

If you forgot to clock in or need to add time retroactively: 1. Go to the **Clock** section 2. Click **Add Manual Entry** 3. Select the project 4. Enter the start and end time 5. Add a note explaining why it's manual 6. Submit for review

Who Can Submit Manual Entries

Manual time entry permissions depend on your organization's settings: - Admins can always create manual entries - Other roles may need approval depending on organization policy - Manual entries are flagged in reports so they're easy to identify

Adjusting Existing Entries

If a clock entry has an error (e.g., forgot to clock out): 1. Find the entry in clock history 2. Click to edit 3. Adjust the start or end time 4. Add a note explaining the change 5. Save the adjustment

Auto-Close

If someone forgets to clock out, the system will: - Auto-close the entry after a configurable period - Mark it as AUTO_CLOSED so it can be reviewed - Send a notification to the team member

Viewing Clock History

  • Go to **Clock** → **History** to see all entries
  • Filter by project, date range, or team member
  • Export time data for payroll processing
