Create tasks, organize them into groups, and track progress.
Managing Tasks and Task Groups
Tasks are the building blocks of every project in ZonaPlan.
Creating Tasks
- Open a project and go to the **Tasks** tab
- Click **Add Task**
- Fill in the task details:
- Save the task
Task Groups
Organize related tasks into groups for better structure: 1. Click **Add Group** to create a group 2. Name it (e.g., "Foundation Work", "Electrical Rough-In") 3. Drag tasks into the group or create tasks within it 4. Groups can be collapsed/expanded for easier navigation
Task Statuses
Tasks follow a lifecycle:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| IDLE | Not yet ready to start |
| OPEN | Ready to begin work |
| IN_PROGRESS | Actively being worked on |
| ON_HOLD | Temporarily paused |
| REQUIRE_INSPECTION | Work done, needs verification |
| DONE | Completed and verified |
Task Options
- **Require Inspection**: Mark tasks that need verification before they can be marked DONE
- **Require Media**: Force workers to upload photos when completing the task
- **Attachments**: Add documents, drawings, or photos to a task
- **Comments**: Team members can discuss the task with threaded comments
Bulk Actions
Select multiple tasks to: - Change status in bulk - Reassign to a different team member - Move to a different group
