Importing Existing Projects with Catch-Up Wizard

Use the Catch-Up Wizard to onboard active projects.

Importing Existing Projects

If you have projects already in progress, the Catch-Up Wizard lets you import them without losing track of what's been done.

Starting the Wizard

  1. Go to **Projects**
  2. Click **Import Existing**
  3. The wizard guides you through three steps

Step 1: Project Info

Enter project details and financials: - Project name and description - Total budget and **amount paid to date** - Start date and expected end date

Step 2: Task List

Add your current task list: - Create all tasks (both completed and remaining) - Mark tasks that are already done as **historical entries** - Historical tasks get status DONE and isHistoricalEntry flag - Remaining tasks are created with the appropriate current status

Step 3: Review & Confirm

Review everything before creating: - Verify project details and financials - Review task counts (completed vs remaining) - Confirm and create the project

The project is created with ACTIVE status, and you can start tracking from today.
